The Treasure Hunt Recycled fashion show Contest is open to individuals, fashion designers, students, universities and organizations. Entries will be judged by an impartial panel of judges based on the following criteria: items used, stylishness, imagination, fit/color/overall appearance and cost saving. The Treasure Hunt Recycled fashion show Contest is open to individuals, fashion designers, students, universities and organizations. Entries will be judged by an impartial panel of judges based on the following criteria: items used, stylishness, imagination, fit/color/overall appearance and cost saving. Prizes will be awarded to the top point-getter.

  • All designs must be ORIGINAL IDEAS. You can draw your design on a traced figure or have someone else draw it for you, but the idea itself must be original. If someone other than the designer is drawing the design, please give them credit on the back of the design. Please be neat.

  • All sizes of the models should be medium.

  • How many designs you can enter the competition with ?

  • Please identify the source of your inspiration (if any) on the back of the design. Book, poem, movie, TV, or your own imagination.

  • If Your designs wins we will not return it, you may have the rest back.

  • By submitting your designs to EVENTSCOM you agree to the non-profit use and publication of said designs EVENTSCOM, prior to and during the run of the convention. All rights revert back to the designer after the convention.

Deadline to receive designs is 2nd of January 2010. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If your full application, is not received by this deadline you will not be included in the show.

HOW TO ENTER
All clothing and accessories must be made by recycled items, with the exception of shoes, stockings and undergarments. Clothing and accessories may be altered with new or second-hand items, e.g. buttons, appliqués, embroidery, and similar ornamentation. Clothing and accessories also may incorporate household or office items that might otherwise be thrown away.
Use your imagination! Your outfit could be made from anything that might ordinarily end its useful life in a landfill or incinerator.
Pieces must be durable for wear in rehearsal and fashion show. Applicant must submit the completed Application Form to guarantee their participation.

RULES OF SUBMISSION
Submissions must be original, must be the work of the submitting Applicant, and cannot infringe on any copyright, other intellectual property right.
Applicants should keep in mind the fashion show will be held outdoors in an open space are and children will be present. Fashions that are offensive, obscene or too revealing will not be allowed on the runway.
If one of your design was chosen, it will be worn by our model or your model (she/he should be presentable and able modeling properly and will be tested before submitting their participation as a model).

SELECTION PROCESS
Pieces will be selected by The Treasure Hunt Recyclable fashion Show committee by show producers on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries will be accepted until 4 p.m. January 2nd 2010, or until all the slots in the show are filled, whichever happens first.
